Who are you?
I’m Susie Day and I’m a writer. I’m originally from Wales and currently live in Oxford, England. My first book, Whump! in which Bill falls 632 miles down a manhole, won the BBC Talent Children’s Fiction Prize and was published in 2004. I currently write teen and YA fiction, aimed mainly at girls.
Can you visit my school?
Maybe! I can’t do visits outside the UK at the moment, but if you’re in the UK and would like me to do an Author Visit, please ask a teacher to email me. I’m a qualified teacher with CRB certification, and love to give workshops to classes Yr 7 and above.

Are your books appropriate for my child?
That depends on you, and on your child. My books do contain references to ‘teen’ behaviour and related issues, but there is no explicit adult content, and they are enjoyed by some mature pre-teen readers as well as older teens. If you consider ‘OMG’ or ‘WTF’ to be offensive, then you might prefer your child to read something else. When in doubt, read it yourself first, or ask a librarian or bookseller: they can be a fantastic resource.
